Happy November!

Can you even believe it? It’s already the end of the year and it feels like time has flown by. I’m on my way to screen-shot-2016-11-03-at-8-06-36-amMexico to celebrate my bestie who is getting married in Cancun. Being in this vibe of celebration, it got me thinking of how we all roll in our lives. Typically, we’re way more prone to celebrate others than we are to celebrate ourselves.

It got me thinking about you, How Often Do You Celebrate Yourself?

I open all of my coaching sessions prompting my clients to celebrate their wins. What starts off as a tough exercise for some soon becomes a favorite aspect of their sessions.

Why this works:

Our brains are wired for survival and problem solving so we’re always seeking out the issues and what’s wrong in any given situation. This tendency is beneficial because it protects us and keeps us safe in our lives. However, on the flip side, it can also expose us to doubt, worry and burn out because it’s hard to maintain momentum when you’re only seeing what’s wrong.

So instead of only focusing on what’s wrong, what can you do to put a practice in place where celebrating your wins become a part of your daily routine? Maybe you put it into your morning ritual, maybe you discuss it at dinner with your partner or friend as you reflect on your day. However you decide to incorporate it, just start getting in the habit of celebrating yourself, today.

Hasta Luego!

You're In!
