It started off as a dream.
It was all you thought about.
You’d be in your cube or office fantasizing about it.
You’d swoon any time it entered your mind.
You couldn’t wait for the day you could work it day and night.

What am I talking about you ask?

Your dream business, of course!

You couldn’t wait for the day when you two could be together forever.

No day job pulling away your attention

No more wasting your energy on things that don’t really matter.

You wanted to be head over heels in for the long haul in your business.

But now, oh but now, the honeymoon is over.

What was once a dream is now demanding…

What was once a fantasy is now a drain…

What you used to feel like the path to eternal bliss now feels like a drag.

What happened?

I’ll tell you what happened. You used to be fun. You used to play. You used to try new things and experiment.

But now you’re serious, you don’t try new things, you follow formulas and don’t do anything spontaneous. You want everything to be perfect and thus, nothing is filled with passion anymore.

Are you ready to fall back in love with your business??

Here’s exactly what you can do:

1. Have fun again – be messy

Get back that loving feeling. When things were fun, experamental, messy even. Don’t be afraid to tap back into that fun energy you used to have when aproaching you business and you’ll have hearts in your eyes in no time.

2. Get gussied up again.

This is for my work at home warrior goddess. Have yoga pants, leggings and sports bras taken over your life? And you wonder where the passion has gone?  I have fallen into this category so trust you’re not alone. It’s ok sometimes, but please know, that if that va-va-voom is lost when you’re sitting down at your computer to create something fantastic for your business, a little sequins, a little lip gloss or a fresh mani will have you creativing videos, typing away and being a rock star to your clients in no time!!

3. Choose progress over perfection

This is about not being a critical nag that kills the romance before it can even begin. If you start nit picking every little thing you do, making yourself wrong for every typo or you start whining about why you’re not on the cover of Forbes magazine,  it’s going to be really difficult to grasp what is going WELL and right in your business.

What you can do instead, is choose progress over perfection. Celebrate your wins. Focus on and show love to what is going right.

4. Be in it for the long haul

Business isn’t a sprint, it’s marathon.

Every day you’ll be required to recommit — just like any relationship that’s worthwhile.

Not every day will bring the giddiness of new love, but if you stick with it and stay committed to the long haul, you’ll be rewarded in a way that few other relationships will allow.

So that’s how to fall back in love in you business. I want to know all about your business relationship!
